  42 .Sh DESCRIPTION
  43 Section one of the manual contains most of the commands
  44 which comprise the
  45 .Bx
  46 user environment.
  47 Some of the commands included in section one are
  48 text editors, command shell interpreters,
  49 searching and sorting tools,
  50 file manipulation commands
  51 system status commands,
  52 remote file copy commands, mail commands,
  53 compilers and compiler tools,
  54 formatted output tools,
  55 and line printer commands.

  57 All commands set a status value upon exit which may be tested
  58 to see if the command completed normally.
  59 The exit values and their meanings are explained in the individual
  60 manuals.  Traditionally, the value 0 signifies successful
  61 completion of the command.
